ANSWERS TO JACKET QUESTIONS

A1 Is there any size limit?
No.  You can have any size of jacket. All we ask is that you take your measurements carefully and ideally get someone to help you take them accurately.

You will find more details on our How to Measure page.

Then check your details against the Size Chart and choose the jacket that is closest to your measurements.  Our jackets are neat fitting so if in any doubt, choose a size larger.

A2 Can I return the jacket if I don’t like it?
We are confident that you’ll fall in love with your jacket, the moment you open the box.  But we also understand that occasionally there can be an issue with a jacket.

We will offer you an easy choice; exchange the jacket (if returned undamaged) or refund your purchase price.

A3 How do I exchange my purchase for a different size?
Please return it to us in a strong box with insurance and tracking on the parcel and we will happily change it for a different size.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot exchange garments that are returned worn, marked in any way or damaged.

A4 How long would it take for a jacket to arrive at my place?
Once you place your order, it takes 2-5 weeks including delivery by the courier depending on your location.  If you are outside mainland USA it can take a few days longer.

Once your jacket is with the courier we will send you a tracking number and shipping details. You’ll be able to follow its journey online.

Please let us know if you need a jacket by a specific date.  We will do our best to meet it.  However, if the date is not going to be possible, we will be honest with you and give you the option of cancelling your order.

A5  Can I ship to a different address than my own?
Yes you can.

If the jacket is a gift, please let us know and we will make sure the delivery note and invoice go to your address and not the delivery address.

For your security, when making payment your billing name, address and phone number must match that of the card used for payment.

Payment will be rejected if any of these details are wrong.

During the checkout phase of your order, through a secure system our merchant services match up your billing address with the address your bank or card issuer has on file.   If any details do not match, the payment will not be approved.

A6 Do I get free shipping with my jacket?
Sadly no. Shipping costs are calculated when you place your order and we feel they are good value as they include insurance and tracking on your jacket.

A7 How will I know when my jacket has been shipped?
We will contact you with your Shipping Confirmation and tracking number once your jacket order is with the courier.  Using the tracking number, you’ll be able to follow your jacket’s journey to you.

A8 What should I do if my jacket hasn’t arrived?
We contact you when your jacket has been shipped and give you the Shipping Confirmation and tracking number.  This lets you follow your jacket’s journey online.  Using this system, you can see if it’s delayed at any point on route.

When you get your Confirmation, it will also have a telephone number for the USPS or Courier Customer Service department.  They will be able to answer any questions you might have on delivery of your package.

A9 What do I do if I receive a faulty jacket?
We do everything to ensure this doesn’t happen as every jacket goes through a rigorous Quality Control check before it’s given to the courier for delivery.

However, should you be unhappy with any aspect of your jacket, please contact us immediately on toll free 800 688 0312 or by email support@themilitaryplace.com and we’ll do everything we can to resolve your problem to your complete satisfaction.

A10 Where are your jackets manufactured?
Our jackets are both domestic and imported and use hides from USA, Argentina and Italy. The country of origin for individual styles varies depending on availability of specific leather finishes.

ANSWERS TO PAYMENT QUESTIONS

A11 I want to buy a jacket how can I make the payment?
You can make the payment on our web site via PayPal or Credit/Debit Card. We use SSL secured Checkout so you can make the payment safely and your details are protected.

You can give your card payment details by phone if you prefer.  Call us on (800) 688-0312 (toll free).

A12 What payment options do you accept?
We accept credit card payments from MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover,  also via Stripe and PayPal payments. You can make a payment via PayPal without having a PayPal account.

A13 My payment was declined? What should I do?
Your payment may have been declined due to any of the following reasons:

  • Wrong billing address:

Please ensure the billing address you entered is the same as the address listed against your payment account. Please also check that you entered the billing address details correctly

  • Credit card limit reached:

Please check your credit card limit. You may have reached your daily or total credit card limit when you tried to make your payment.

Try using a different card.

Contact your card merchant for bank for help.

  • Wrong Credit / Debit Card Number:

Please make sure the card number was entered correctly.

  • Credit / Debit Card Expiration date:

Please check the expiration date on your card. If your card has expired, you may have received a new one in the post and simply forgotten to change cards. Remember to cut up or shred your old card for security.

  • PayPal account is out of funds:

Make sure enough funds are available in your PayPal account if you’re using this as your payment method.

A14 Will my parcel be charged customs and import duties?
International orders may be charged Customs or import duties once the parcel reaches the destination country.

If there are any charges on a parcel, these are paid by the person receiving the parcel (the customer) and The Military Place has no control over these charges.

We also can’t give you information on possible charges as customs regulations and import duties vary from country to country.

Please contact your local Customs office to details for your country.

A15 What do I do if my parcel and jacket arrive damaged?
Please contact us immediately. We will help you with instructions on returning the parcel and will replace your order.

If your parcel arrives damaged or opened, if possible, take some photographs of the damage. These can be used in a subsequent claim against the USPS or Courier.

A16 Will my order be taxed?
This is already included in the cost of the jacket.

A17 Where do I enter my promotional code?
On the checkout page you’ll find a promotional code box.  Enter your special code and your discount will be displayed in the cart payment summary.

Please note:  Only one promotional discount code can be used per order.
