Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington was a Medal of Honor fighter pilot with VMF 214 - the legendary Black Sheep squadron - during WW2.  He also flew with the Flying Tigers.

He was an Ace with 24 confirmed combat victories in the Pacific Theater.
